An urban planning consultancy sought to differentiate themselves in a traditionally conservative industry. With an unconventional brand identity already established, the challenge was translating that rebellious spirit into a functional digital platform that balanced bold visual expression with professional credibility and intuitive user experience.
The website needed to serve multiple audiences—potential clients seeking planning services, municipal stakeholders evaluating expertise, and community members learning about urban development projects. The design had to be distinctive enough to stand out while remaining accessible and easy to navigate.
I led the digital translation of the brand, starting with comprehensive UX planning. Working from the established brand identity, I developed web-specific color applications, typography adaptations for screen readability, and digital brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all online touchpoints.
The UX process included wireframing, user journey mapping, and information architecture planning to account for every page and interaction. I collaborated with the content team to ensure content was strategically structured for both user clarity and SEO performance. The unconventional design approach featured bold colors and prominent interactive elements—large, confident buttons and unexpected layout choices that reflected the client's positioning as disruptors in a traditional field.
I built the complete website on WordPress using Elementor, implementing the custom design while ensuring robust functionality and responsive performance across all devices. The development process involved translating the bold visual identity into a technically sound platform, including custom template implementation, content integration, and responsive design that worked seamlessly from desktop to mobile.
The website launched in 2024 following a three-month design and development process. As a retained resource, I provided ongoing support and iterations based on client feedback and performance insights, refining the platform to better serve their evolving business needs.
